Metering Russia & Baltic States
Preparing for possibly one of largest AMR markets in the world.

Michail Zavorovski
Dear participants,

With the scheduled sale of RAO’s retail/sales companies in July of this year, one of the world largest energy markets is about to change. Supply companies and grid companies will split resulting in a competitive environment where every organization has to ensure their own revenue. Because of the fixed pricing structure dictated by federal and national legislation, adequate and reliable metering will start to play a crucial role for both retails/sales companies as well as the grid owners.

Recent initiatives in Russia and Baltic States with AMR/AMI projects have proven to be an efficient tool for utilities to ensure revenue. Especially in the industrial and commercial sector who make up for the majority of the energy consumption, savings of 14% have been realized due to timely and accurate data. As for the residential consumers the AMR/AMI installations have caused a higher rate of payments due to the awareness and prove of
actual consumption.

The Metering Russia & Baltic States conference will give you an insight of what is happening in both the electricity as well as gas sector in this region. If the planned legislation on pricing and tariffs become reality, Russian utilities have to start preparing for large scale roll-out of AMR/AMI projects.

This two day conference couldn’t be more in time and provides delegates unique networking opportunities with key market players. In total over 200 high level participants are being expected to participate.

CJSC Petroelectrosbyt is proud to host the premier Metering Russia & Baltic States conference in 2008.

We look forward to meeting you in the beautiful city of St. Petersburg!
