The conference programme is developed to provide a forum, which identifies, discusses and forecasts developments in the industry. Top-level speakers from all key industry segments will present their views using case studies, in-depth sessions and interactive panels.
The management team is searching for speakers who can share new and innovative experiences and visions on energy efficiency, demand response and customer experiences related to smart metering.
Abstracts can be submitted, but not limited to, the following topics:
- Policy & Regulation
- Regional smart metering implementations
- AMR strategies
- Metering communications & infrastructures
- Drivers for smart metering
- Energy eficiency
- Demand side management
- Meter data management
- Customer response to smart metering
- Revenue protection with metering
Guidelines:
Speaking slots are 30 minutes in length: 5 minute introduction by the chairman, 20 minutes for the paper presentation and 5 minutes for questions from the audience.
- Vendors are welcome to submit proposals along with an identified lead utility speaker.
- Abstracts from consultants will be considered; consultants may also be asked to identify a utility speaker.
- Sales and marketing presentations are not appropriate for this conference and will not be accepted.
- Presentation of more than one paper by the same organisation during the conference is discouraged.
Abstract criteria:
- Abstracts may not be longer than 1 A4 page
- Abstracts should contain full contact details of the speaker
- Abstracts should not have been presented before
- No vendor sales pitches will be accepted
- Case studies should be presented together with the utility customer
- Reflect new information or new developments
Your abstract will need to include:

Author’s name and a bio information (include a bit about your qualifications regarding your presentation topic)

Title of presentation (no more than 10 words)

Summary of the presentation (around 200 words)

Write 3 learning objectives for your presentation, focusing on what knowledge participants will gain from the presentation

Who your talk is likely to interest (some keywords)

Name and bio information of any co-authors
The paper should not have been presented before. If your paper was previously presented, write down where and when.
